Terms of Service

Known Guy is a trust network where users vouch for professionals they know, share findable profiles, and discover people through trust-distance search. Features may change as we improve the product.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

When you vouch for someone, add tags, or publish profile information, you confirm that what you share is truthful to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or deceptive vouches or tags
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use the Service for spam, scraping, or unauthorized automation
• Violate applicable law or these Terms

You grant Known Guy a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute your content as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your vouch on a public profile).

You control key visibility settings (such as public profile and search findability). Vouch links and related trust flows may still work as described in the product even when a profile is private. You are responsible for what you choose to make public.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that harm the Service, other users, or the integrity of the trust graph — including fake networks, coordinated abuse, or repeated violations of these Terms.

Sign-in and other features may rely on third parties (for example LinkedIn, Meta, GitHub, hosting, or email providers). Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Vouches and profiles reflect user-submitted information; Known Guy does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any endorsement, listing, or search result. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Known Guy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, reputation, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
